Hi, my name is Meg Oberer.  I am a junior biology major at York College of Pennsylvania. On campus, I'm a member of the club softball team and Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.  During my breaks from school, I hold a part time job at Old Farm Veterinary Hospital in Frederick, MD. After graduating from York, I hope advance to graduate school and study veterinary medicine.

Growing up, I was always happiest when I was outside, listening to music, playing with my pets, or any combination of the latter. I am happy to say that today, that remains the same.  The most important aspects of my life growing up stemmed from belonging to various softball teams and playing in my school band.  Both of these organizations have allowed me to blossom into the person I am today.

As a hopeful veterinary student, medicine and health are one of my major interests.  Human healthcare interests me in addition to veterinary medicine, even though my patient of choice has four legs and fur.  As a result, I do my best to stay current on breakthroughs in the health field.  Currently, I hold in interest in the potential dangers that vaporizers, a form of electronic cigarette, have on the human body.

When I am not at work or school, you can usually find me in my favorite place- in the woods with my two dogs, Rowan and Savannah.
